Theatre Arts Boosters
All parents of students involved in our program, whether they are enrolled in classes, participate in productions, or both, are members of Theatre Arts Patrons! TAP is the Spartan Theatre booster program, and the members of TAP support the program in many ways, including running concessions, helping with build days, reaching out to new parent volunteers and more!
Want to stay in the loop about parent volunteer needs, TAP meetings, rehearsal calendars and more? Join our Rallyhood site! Meet the TAP Board!
Our wonderful TAP Board is always happy to answer questions and welcome new members! Please find them at any Spartan Theatre events if you have a question or you'd like to know more about being involved!
Susan is in her fourth year as a member of the Spartan Theatre family and is honored that TAP didn't impeach her so she has the privilege of serving a second term as board president. While she prefers not to be in charge of the money and shouldn't be trusted with power tools, she's open to pretty much anything else that needs doing: including picking up supplies she doesn't know how to use from stores she's never heard of, soothing nerves (students and parents), delivering forgotten costume pieces backstage, providing first aid, answering performance patron questions, and putting her OCD to good use in managing the TAP calendar and volunteer callouts. And while Susan may not have all the answers, with a senior and a freshman in the program, she knows where to get them, so ask away!
Board Co-Vice President
Martin is excited to be joining the TAP Board and entering his fifth year of supporting Spartan Theatre’s remarkable program! In fact, it’s one of the few things that he’s willing to skip weekend motorcycle rides to support! With a Spartan Theatre alum now pursuing his BFA in acting, and a current Spartan Theatre thespian designing lights, sets, and props, Martin enjoys working with the students on all aspects of production, and with parents on supporting our students’ and Ms. Nash’s outstanding work!!
Board Co-Vice President
This is Nicki's fifth year with Spartan Theatre, and second serving on the TAP Board as Co-Vice-President. She has been involved in almost every aspect of volunteering with Spartan Theatre, and enjoys helping out with such a fun and dynamic department. In her free time, Nicki is an avid reader, and attends as many musical theatre productions as her budget will allow.
This is Margaret's third year with TAP and Charles, who’s never been accused of being shy, is a Junior. She's excited to take over the financial books this year. She spent a short time in prison for embezzlement, tax fraud, and money laundering (for a small, unnamed country in the former Soviet Union). Her prison name was Ruthless Mags but you can call her Margaret. She also enjoys dogs and sunrises.
Kelly is in her 5th year as a member of TAP. She has enjoyed encouraging her son in theater tech and looks forward to seeing her daughter on stage. She is excited to get more involved this year and to support all of the talented Spartans.
